Kathmandu – The Russian Embassy in Nepal hosted a get-together with the Nepali media community to strengthen professional ties and foster collaboration.
The event, held at Hotel Holiday Inn in Naxal, Kathmandu, was attended by editors and journalists from various media outlets across Nepal.
During the event, Mr. Andrei Kiselenko, Chargé d’Affaires of the Russian Federation, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Nepali media for their professionalism and the productive cooperation with the embassy throughout 2025. He praised the media for their role in promoting balanced public discourse, which plays a crucial part in shaping Russia-Nepal relations.
“We deeply value your objective and comprehensive coverage of international events,” said Mr. Kiselenko. “It is important that global processes, viewed through the lens of Russian-Nepali relations, reflect Russia’s true position. We are always ready to maintain professional contacts and share our perspectives.”

The Chargé d’Affaires also extended his best wishes for the New Year 2026, expressing confidence that honest and respectful exchanges of information would continue to strengthen the bond between the two nations.
In addition to Mr. Kiselenko, the event was attended by other key embassy officials, including Press Secretary Alexander Ivashev and Anastasia Khokhlova, Director of the Russian House.
The event served as a reminder of the vital role the media plays in international relations and the ongoing commitment to open and constructive dialogue between Russia and Nepal.
